How to bring your old Instagram saves into Pulogo

Ask Instagram for the file with your Saved posts, open it in Pulogo and decide one dose a day.

Request the official file from Instagram

  1. Open Accounts Center. On Instagram, go to your profile, tap the menu and open Accounts Center. In some versions it shows up as Meta account, inside Settings.
  2. Find the option to download your information. Tap Your information and permissions, then the option to download or export your information. The name varies by version: Download your information or Export your information.
  3. Select only Saved. Choose your Instagram account, request only some of your information and check Saved. The file is smaller and ready sooner.
  4. Choose JSON, all time. Choose download to device, JSON format and the date range all time. Confirm to create the file.
  5. Download it and open it in Pulogo. When Instagram tells you it's ready, download the .zip and, in Pulogo, tap Open file under Settings, Bring in old saves.

The file isn't ready right away. Instagram lets you know when it's done; Meta says the link can take up to 30 days to arrive and, once ready, stays available to download for four days. Pulogo can remind you to come back, tomorrow and in three days.

What happens in Pulogo

In Pulogo, go to Settings, Bring in old saves, and tap Open file. It reads the file right here on your iPhone and tells you what it found: how many saves, how many were already in the app, how many came without a link. Nothing gets dropped silently.

Your saves go into To decide and reach your triage one daily dose at a time. Each one shows which step it's on while Pulogo builds the link preview. In a hurry? Marathon goes in blocks of 25.

A sample of 20 is free, so you can decide if it's worth it. The rest waits for Pro, counted, and comes in when you subscribe.

Who sees the file

The file goes from Instagram to your iPhone and gets read there. Pulogo doesn't ask for a login, a password or access to your account.

To show each link's preview, your iPhone opens that link, just like Safari would. That's the part that uses the internet.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give Pulogo my Instagram password?

No. Pulogo never asks for a login or a password. You request the file from Instagram, download it on your iPhone and open it in Pulogo.

How much does importing cost?

Bringing in old saves is part of Pro. First, a sample of 20 is free, so you can decide at no cost and see if it makes sense. Whatever is waiting for Pro shows up counted; nothing disappears.

What if I cancel Pro later?

What's already in Pulogo stays yours, with or without Pro.

Will importing everything flood my triage?

No. Old saves go into To decide and arrive little by little, in a daily dose along with the new ones. You choose the dose in Settings, from 5 to 30.

What if a save is already in Pulogo?

It doesn't come in twice. The progress screen counts how many were already in the app.

I picked HTML by mistake. Now what?

Pulogo reads the JSON format. If the file comes in HTML, the app tells you, and you just request it again choosing JSON.

Do the videos come with it?

No. The file has the link to each saved post. Pulogo builds a preview of each link, and the post stays on Instagram.
